Good news! I managed to fix those messed up v-brakes and now they work perfectly…in fact better than they were before. The only things I had to change were the cables (inner and housing) and an aging noodle.

BTWIN Saddle Cover : Review
I bought a saddle cover for the first time for my bike. I went to the nearest Decathlon (India) store and since they’re official resellers of BTWIN products, I bought the BTWIN Memory Foam 500L.

Me, a person who takes care of my bikes, was fed up of water making its way up the brake cables whenever I washed my bike, so I decided to buy the rubber boots that were long due an installation in both the front and rear brakes. I also thought crimping the ends again to avoid fraying would be a great idea.

I cleaned and polished my bike which was way overdue after over a month of use.
I thought of lubricating it with WD-40. I always did lubrication with old brake fluid I had from my motorbike and it did work fine. I put it only in the brake springs and pedals.
